This course covers the changes to the requirements and the compliance expectations
of IATF 16949:2016. The IATF 16949:2016
emphasizes improved risk management with stated areas of risks to be considered
throughout the clauses.
The standard fully respects ISO 9001:2015 structure and
requirements, seamlessly adding the additional and supplemental requirements
unique to the automotive sectors in the relevant areas.
This means IATF 16949:2016 is not a stand-alone quality management system (QMS), but is to be implemented with ISO 9001:2015.
An organization wishing to transition to IATF 16949:2016 will first need
to perform a gap analysis and address actions to close gaps between the current
QMS and IATF 16949.
This 2-day course will provide the knowledge required for
key QMS personnel to interpret the standard requirements and provide clarity on
the new and enhanced requirements of IATF 16949:2016.
The goal will be to effectively use the gap analysis to identify actions required, implement the changes and prepare for a successful re-certification.
