This course offers an overview on IATF 16949:2016 also commonly known as the Automotive Quality Management System (QMS) standard. It defines the fundamental QMS requirements for automotive production and relevant service parts organizations. The goal of IATF 16949:2016 is to develop a quality management system that provides for continual improvement, emphasizing defect prevention, and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain.
It is important to note that IATF 16949:2016 is not a stand-alone standard, it is a supplementary standard used in conjunction with ISO 9001:2015. Since the IATF 16949:2016 standard uses the same general section headings and clause structure as ISO 9001:2015, this means each section of IATF 16949:2016 is fully aligned with the ISO 9001:2015 high level structure.
This course will provide delegates great insights to the QMS requirements and how to ensure compliance by using examples that are relevant to automotive products, processes and services.
At the end of this overview, participants will be able to review and define the key requirements within IATF 16949:2016 related to:
Managers, Heads of Department/Process, Internal Auditors and QMS Managers
PRE-REQUISITE (Important Note)
